Congratulations to all graduating therapy students about to launch into the field of psychotherapy and obtaining hours toward licensure.
I hope you are so proud of all that you’ve accomplished!
For some, this is a career change.
For some, this is what you’ve always known you’ve wanted to do and decided to pursue your Master’s Degree straight away after completing your Bachelor’s Degree.
Maybe for some, you’ve had to put your studies aside to raise and family and now it’s your time to celebrate graduating a lifelong dream.
Wherever you are in your journey…congratulations! It’s such a huge accomplishment not only to commit to the schooling required to obtain your Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling, but to have also graduated from the years it has required.
What’s next in your journey toward being a licensed therapist?
I would love to hear from you as you read this blog to let me know where you are in your journey. What topics would you like to read about? Or listen to a podcast episode about?
I want to be able to provide you with valuable information that YOU want.
Through my work with other therapists, whether recent grads or those that have been at it for a while, I’m always reminded of what I needed when I was starting out. And, what I still need now. While the needs might be different in some ways, I still have the same fears that pop up. The same negative thoughts that sometimes overwhelm and can sometimes delay me from taking action.
But when I was starting out, I had all kinds of fear and worrisome thoughts about how to be a “good therapist.” “How to start a private practice.” “Would I be able to help.” “Would I get the hours needed toward full licensure during the allotted time requirement.” “What would I specialize in.” “Should I specialize.” “What if I make mistakes.” “How do I balance having a family and a private practice.” The list goes on and on…
That is why I am so passionate in my efforts to help provide information, tips, resources, etc. to help you know that you’re not alone and there is a way to create the life and career you envision.
And, having support and mentorship along the way is so helpful.
Mindset and Self Care Coaching
If you’re about to graduate. Or are newly starting out. And want support and mentorship around mindset shifts needed to:
- Start a private practice
- Work with clients for the first time
- Balance life and work
- Care for yourself so that you can care for others
I’d like to offer the opportunity for us to work together. Through coaching, we can have the opportunity to work one on one on specific areas you’d like support in.
Coaching Sessions
Much of my coaching work is designed based on your specific needs. But there are some general areas that we will likely cover as they are so very important.
- Boundaries & De-cluttering
- Blocks toward achieving your private practice dreams
- Money Mindset
- Private Practice Mindset
- Boundaries & De-Cluttering
When I talk about boundaries and de-cluttering, I’m talking more about internal boundaries and internal de-cluterring first.
So…what exactly does that mean?
I think about it as working from the inside-out first. Beginning with our thoughts. Once we become aware of how our thoughts impact us, from the way we feel to whether or not we take an action, we can begin to shift this to create what we actually DO want.
Many times our thoughts (if we believe them) can keep us stuck. Our thoughts can be such an endless source of chatter. Of fear. Of what if, I can’t, won’t happen for me. When we begin here, and start to de-clutter so to speak, new opportunities await.
Coaching for Private Practice Blocks & Entrepreneur Mindset
Many new therapists and soon to be therapists that I work with have so many awesome business ideas and aspirations. It’s truly inspirational to watch you grow your light onto the world! But what sometimes can happen is, we let other people’s thoughts/expectations/negative beliefs get in our way. Together, we will work toward a new mindset to help you grow in your therapy practice and in life.
Money Mindset
Money mindset kinda goes hand in hand sometimes with what I see related to private practice blocks. Together, we will work on any money limiting beliefs that are holding you back.
Coaching Sessions
If you’re ready to jump in, just give me a call or email. I will get back with you as soon as I can and we can begin our work together.
Working together means one on one coaching time together that done online.
For some, a one time coaching session is all that’s needed.
For others, having a once a month coaching call is beneficial especially for anyone just starting out.
We will determine what’s right for you based on your specific needs.
Coaching appointments are typically 60 minutes in length. All that’s needed a computer and Internet connection so that we can work together (face to face) over the Internet.
Please reach out to let me know how I can help or if you have questions…
I am really looking forward to hearing from you.
