Hi, Amazing YOU,
I’m a therapist, mom and entrepreneur (and former student) just like you. Learning each day more and more about the importance of self care. And, what self care means to me.
I created selfcaretodaytomorrow.com for graduating counseling students and new therapists. I have a special place in my heart for new professionals starting out. I so want to be able to help you achieve your goals and create the life you want and realize you can create the therapy practice and life you want.
I remember when I was in my graduate program and I would hear every now and again about the importance of self care. I didn’t really know what that meant – to be honest.
As I’ve aged throughout the years, gained more experience not only in the therapy room but also as a mom, and entrepreneur, I started realizing what self care means to me. And the power it can have to change your life. To change your energy levels. To help you have the life (and therapy practice) you envision.
As I am writing this…I also should take a step back to include another part of me. That part is the health and wellness educator in me.
Before I went back to school to get my Master’s in Professional Counseling, I worked for many years as a health and wellness educator. After graduating with my Bachelor’s Degree what seems like many many years ago (because it was!), I continued with my studies and got a Master’s in Health Education and Wellness. A big part of who I am is someone who finds health and wellness, public health and epidemiology and public safety so interesting! I really love it. So, when I got my Master’s in Health Education and Wellness Promotion, I focused my career at the time on disease prevention, public health and public safety.
But…what was missing was the other big huge part of me. The person who loves working one on one with people…which led me to follow my dream of becoming a therapist. And now…as I have grown through my experiences, I want to be able to offer guidance in a different direction. One that’s not about therapy. One that’s focused exclusively on coaching. On mindset and personal growth coaching to help you learn self care strategies that I hope spark momentum to continue building upon for many many years to come…
Selfcare: Today, Tomorrow…
I named this site selfcaretodaytomorrow.com because of my son…when he was a toddler (about 3 years old) he was learning about the days of the week. And he would ask me…”Mommy, is today tomorrow?” And I loved that so so much! And I still love it so so very much!
As I created this site for you, I wanted to share this message with you…is today your tomorrow? Better yet, can you make today your tomorrow? What are you wanting to put off until tomorrow that you can take steps toward right now…today?!
What can you start doing today to take care of you so you can let your light shine even brighter? I’d like to help guide you along the way…
I’ve created a podcast that I hope you enjoy. If you have any suggestions for episode topics, please reach out and let me know. I want this site to be helpful to you.
